For what has become nearly 50 years, my mother dreamed of traveling across the spinal cord of this country, trekking through the Rockies, sweating the desert sun, sleeping under the stars and witnessing exactly what it was that gave her the spark of adventure in the first place. But what began as a childhood aspiration has now become a multidimensional journey that garners a much more significant meaning.
Throughout our trip, we’ll document how a mother and son travel the country in order to search for a better way to live on this planet while discovering more about ourselves in the process. For every mile we log, we hope to get a better understanding of who we are and how we just might be able to make an impact on this world yet.
